Welcome to Amble. These terms are the agreement between you and Amble for using the app. We've kept them short and readable, in the same spirit as everything else here. By using Amble, you're agreeing to them.
1. Amble is not a veterinarian
Amble writes a gentle daily card about your dog. Cards are general information and AI-generated suggestions — not a substitute for professional veterinary, training, or behavioral care. If your dog is sick, injured, in pain, or may have swallowed something dangerous, contact a veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital right away. Don't wait on a card, and don't use Amble in place of professional help.
2. Who can use Amble
Amble is made for adults. You must be at least 16 years old to use it, and by using Amble you confirm that you are.
3. Your account
- You can start using Amble anonymously, without signing in. If you never sign in, that trial data is deleted after 90 days of inactivity.
- You can sign in with email or with Google.
- A free account covers one dog. With Premium, you can add up to five. Each dog has its own profile, cards, notes, and photo.
- Family view-only access: you can share a view-only code so family can follow a dog's photos, daily cards, About, History and weekly reflection. People with a view-only code can't edit the profile, notes, or settings, and can't see your private notes, email, or billing. You can revoke a code at any time, and using a view-only code doesn't require a full account.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account. Please keep your sign-in secure.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Amble is free to start. Premium is a paid subscription with additional features.
- Premium includes a free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. The price is shown to you at the time of purchase.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your account settings or the Stripe billing portal; cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Refunds: we don't offer refunds, except where required by law. Cancelling stops future charges but doesn't refund the current period.
- The features included in Premium may change over time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know.
5. Using Amble responsibly
Please use Amble as it's meant to be used, and don't:
- try to access other people's accounts, dogs, or family codes you weren't given;
- upload content you don't have the rights to use;
- present Amble's cards to others as if they were professional veterinary or training advice;
- scrape, copy in bulk, resell, or attempt to rebuild the service; or
- interfere with how Amble works for other people.
6. Your content
The things you put into Amble — your dog's profile, your notes, your photos — are yours. You grant us only the limited permission we need to operate the service: to store your photo privately and show it back to you, to write your cards, and so on, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The daily cards Amble writes for your dog are for your personal use. You're welcome to share individual cards and the keepsake images you export — that's part of the point. You don't get the right to resell them or use them commercially.
7. Our content
Amble — the app, its design, its writing, its name and logo — belongs to us. Using Amble doesn't give you ownership of the service or its intellectual property, and you agree not to copy, resell, or claim it as your own.
8. AI, and no warranty
Amble uses AI to write its cards. That means outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or a poor fit for your dog. Amble is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. You remain responsible for the decisions you make about your dog's care.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Amble won't be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to US$50, or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
10. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these terms, and we may stop offering the service. You can stop using Amble at any time, and you can delete your account and its data from Settings or by emailing hello@amble.dog (see the Privacy Policy).
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as Amble grows. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and for material changes — like pricing, your rights, or liability — we'll give you notice. Continuing to use Amble after a change means you accept the updated terms.
